7. Tuning and calibration
After the mechanical package was together, the build moved into tuning and calibration. This was always intended as the final layer of refinement rather than a one-time task, and it is still an active part of the project now.
For the final tuning stage we sent the car to Toy’s Garage, where it received a beautifully crafted custom 3 inch exhaust with V-bands and a custom muffler.

The car was then tuned and mapped by Toy’s Garage, who managed to extract 177.1 kilowatts at and 290 foot-pounds of torque at 6349 revolutions per minute on a Mainline dyno.

However, there were still details left to refine, especially around idle quality and hanging behaviour. Not knowing much about tuning at first, curiosity took over again. That eventually opened up a whole second project: learning KManager, working through logs, and experimenting with whether artificial intelligence tools could help iron out the smaller issues and make the car idle and drive around the street in a more refined way.
In that sense, the build is not really finished. The major hardware is in place, but the calibration side is still evolving as we continue to refine how the whole package performs and feels.
